After you have integrated your social media activities you are ready to setup Twitter and Facebook so social activities can be tracked and scored.
Twitter and Facebook data imports must be setup in the same user that setup the social media credentials. Often one account has multiple users with separate ROI logins, so it's important to remember which user owns the social credentials for the organization. For example, AJ+MF Co. has two ROI users setup: email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. If Facebook credentials are setup under email@example.com, the Facebook data import must also be setup in firstname.lastname@example.org ROI account. If the Twitter credentials are setup under email@example.com, the Twitter data import must also be setup in firstname.lastname@example.org ROI account. One user can also setup both Twitter and Facebook credentials and imports.
Multiple Twitter Accounts
If one company has multiple Twitter accounts then those must be setup under separate users. There can only be one Twitter account setup per user. For example, if AJ+MF Co. has two Twitter accounts that need to be tracked, one account needs to be setup under email@example.com and the other under firstname.lastname@example.org.
Multiple Facebook Pages
Facebook allows users to create Pages for business and creative endeavors to manage from a personal Facebook profile account. For example, if AJ+MF Co. has a personal Facebook profile account, but three creative Pages within that account, all of the Pages can be tracked under the same user such as email@example.com, assuming firstname.lastname@example.org owns the Facebook profile credentials.
Multiple Facebook Profiles
If there are multiple Facebook personal profiles for one company (not Pages), and both have creative Pages within the profiles related to AJ+MF Co., those Facebook profiles must be setup under separate ROI users because one user can own one set of Facebook credentials. For example, email@example.com must setup the credentials and imports for the AJ+MF Co. Parts and Services Facebook profile under her user, while firstname.lastname@example.org must setup the credentials and imports for the AJ+MF Co. Contracts and Leasing Facebook profile under his user. For this example, the Parts and Services department has different Facebook Pages than the Contracts and Leasing department at AJ+MF Co.
Select Create New Import/Export under the Data tab.
Select Store Facebook Data in ROI or Store Twitter
Data in ROI.
Step 3: Twitter
When importing Twitter data select what data you would like to import: Get Followers, Get Retweets, Get Mentions, Get Direct Message. In Step 2 select
an hourly import schedule and place the import In
Progress. Lastly, enter a name, description and folder.
Step 3: Facebook
When importing Facebook data select from the Page
ID drop down. If there are multiple Facebook Pages that need to be tracked for one Facebook account, the user who setup the Facebook credentials for that account must create separate
imports under their user and then select each Facebook Page individually
from the Page ID drop down. In Step 2 you must select an
hourly import schedule and place the import In Progress.
Lastly, enter a name, description and folder.
